Privacy policy

This page says which personal data are processed when a reader opens Online-Casinos.ws, for which purposes and on which legal basis, who receives them and for how long, and which rights the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the "GDPR") gives the reader, as its Article 13 requires. It is short because the site is simple. We would rather describe what happens than copy a longer text describing what does not.

Who is responsible for the data

The "controller" of the processing described here is [OWNER: name, business name and postal address, to be completed before publication], the publisher of Online-Casinos.ws. Any question, and any request to exercise the rights listed below, goes to [CONTACT E-MAIL, to be completed before publication], which is the only address that answers. No data protection officer has been appointed, since the processing does not require one.

What the site collects, and what it does not

Online-Casinos.ws is a "static" site, that is a set of pages sent as they are: no account to open, no comment to leave, no search box kept on a server and no form, except the newsletter form provided by Brevo, which loads only when a reader presses the button on the newsletter page. Nobody is asked for a name, a date of birth or a payment detail.

Nothing a reader types elsewhere (at a casino, for example) reaches this site, and what remains is small: the technical records of the hosting provider, the statistics measured only after consent, the e-mail address given on purpose for the newsletter, and what happens when a reader follows a link to an operator. The sections below describe each of them, and no decision about a reader is taken by automated means. Nothing is collected by stealth.

The server logs of the hosting provider

The site is hosted by Amazon Web Services through its AWS Amplify service, and a server that delivers a page records, as every server does, the "IP address" from which the request came, the page requested, the time of the request and the type of browser, in files called "logs".

The provider keeps these logs for its own security purposes for a limited time that it sets, and they are not used to identify anyone; nobody is identified by a line saying that a browser asked for a page at ten past eight! The legal basis is the "legitimate interest" in keeping the site available and secure (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), and you may object to it by writing to the address above, with the reasons of your situation.

The statistics, only after consent

The pages use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, and both load only after the reader has clicked "Accept" on the cookie banner. A reader who clicks "Reject", or who closes the page without choosing, sends nothing to Google and is not measured, which is the whole design of the banner.

The data collected after consent are the pages viewed, the approximate location derived from the connection, the type of device and browser, and the clicks on the links to operators (with the name of the operator, so that we know which offers interest our readers).

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), which lasts six months and can be withdrawn or changed at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page or from the button on the cookie page, where the cookies set are listed by name. Withdrawing it stops the measurement from the next page onwards.

The IP address is anonymised as configured by Google, and the data are processed by Google Ireland Limited, which may transfer them to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the mechanism recognised by the European Commission in July 2023 as ensuring an adequate level of protection (an "adequacy decision").

The newsletter

A reader who wants the monthly newsletter gives an e-mail address through the form provided by Brevo (Brevo SAS, with registered office in Paris), which keeps the list and sends the e-mails on our behalf as a "processor", under a contract binding it to our instructions. The address is used only to send the newsletter; it is not sold, passed to the operators or used for anything else.

Every e-mail carries an "unsubscribe" link which removes the address with one click, and no reason is asked. The legal basis is the consent given by subscribing, which can be withdrawn with that link or by writing to the address above, and the address is kept until the reader unsubscribes, after which it is deleted from the list; the newsletter page says what the e-mails contain and how often they arrive.

The links to the casinos

Some links on this site are "affiliate" links: when a reader follows one of them and registers, the operator may pay us a commission, as the disclosure printed on every page with offers says. From the moment the reader leaves this site the casino's own privacy policy applies, not this one, and the casino's cookies are the casino's.

The link carries a "tracking parameter" that identifies this site as the source of the visit, not the reader. The operator sends back no name, no address and no information about who registered or played, only the count of registrations credited to the site, which is how the commission is calculated.

The country of the reader

The site does not recognise the country of the reader, and it does not change its pages according to where a request comes from. The operators listed here address the international, non-regulated market, as the sentence at the foot of every page says, and whether the law of a country allows playing with one of them is for the reader to check: nobody checks it in the reader's place, and the site has no reason to know where the reader is.

Who receives the data

The recipients are three, with the roles described above: Amazon Web Services for the hosting and its logs, Google for the statistics after consent, and Brevo for the newsletter. We do not sell personal data, nor share them with the operators listed on our pages, and no advertising network, social button or other third party loads on these pages, which is also why the list on the cookie page is short.

Transfers outside the European Union, and how long the data are kept

Amazon Web Services and Google may transfer data to the United States, where both participate in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, while Brevo states that it processes the newsletter list in the European Union. The logs are kept for the period set by the hosting provider for its security purposes, the analytics data for fourteen months (as configured in our Google Analytics account), and the newsletter address until the reader unsubscribes.

The rights of the reader

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR a reader may ask which data concern him or her and obtain a copy ("access"), have them corrected ("rectification") or deleted ("erasure"), limit their use ("restriction") or oppose it ("objection"), and receive them in a machine-readable form ("portability") where the processing rests on consent. A consent can be withdrawn at any time, without affecting what was done before.

Your request is sent to the address above, costs nothing and is answered within one month, which the law allows to be extended by two further months where a request is complex, provided the reader is told in time.

A reader who believes that the processing infringes the GDPR may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of his or her habitual residence, place of work or of the alleged infringement; for a controller established in Italy the authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Minors

The site is for adults aged 18 or over, as every page says ("18+"), and we do not knowingly process the data of minors. A parent or guardian who believes that a minor has subscribed to the newsletter can write to the address above, and the address will be deleted from the list.

Changes to this policy

This policy is updated when the site or the law changes, with the date of the last change printed at the top of the page. A change in the purposes or in the recipients is announced on this page before it takes effect, so that the version in force is always the one published here. This version was written on 9 October 2026, and it replaces every earlier one!
